High School Signing Day: A Celebration of Growth

No two scholars are alike, but all leave Higher Achievement with the encouragement and support to succeed in high school and beyond.

Higher Achievement’s High School Signing Day is the culmination of the high school placement process and a celebration of scholars’ hard work throughout their time at Higher Achievement.

Higher Achievement’s comprehensive high school placement programming prepares scholars socially and academically for their high school experience. Throughout programming, scholars sharpen their communication skills; explore their options for high school, college, and career; identify their interests and ambitions; and apply to high schools that best align with their future goals.

In the spring, 8th-grade scholars begin to receive their high school acceptances and make their final selection. This past month during High School Signing Day, scholars announced their high school enrollment decisions, and parents, mentors, and staff shared advice, reflections, and congratulations. Alongside staff, 8th-grade scholars planned the event which fostered community and celebrated their accomplishments.  5th, 6th, and 7th-grade scholars joined in the festivities to cheer on their peers and looked forward to the opportunity to experience their own Signing Day in the future.

Higher Achievement is grateful for the community of support surrounding 8th-grade scholars who are taking their next steps towards their high school ambitions and joining the Higher Achievement family of alumni.
