A Front Seat at our Ninth Annual Going Places Gala

Higher Achievement held our ninth annual Going Places Gala at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC on November 2. Sponsors and supporters gathered to celebrate this year’s theme — Sky’s the Limit – a perfect testament to Higher Achievement scholars, alumni and our gala honoree, Mitchell N. Schear.

Alexandria Center scholars, Sandrine and Alhaji lit up the room as our evening emcees.

Ward 4 Scholar Alijah joined Alumnae Adar and Lidwina to share their Sky’s the Limit stories.

Alumna Sydney and Executive Director Katherine Roboff presented Mitchell N. Schear with this year’s honoree award.

Ward 7 scholars showcased their award-winning Olympics of the Mind chant.

Higher Achievement and gala leadership joined Sandrine and Alhaji on stage to celebrate the $1.4 million raised.

Guests interacted with Higher Achievement alumni and Center ambassadors.

Executive Director Katherine Roboff joined President’s Council members and guests at the reception.

Sponsors and guest enjoyed a delicious reception after the heartwarming program.

Thank you to all of our scholars, alumni, and supporters that made this year’s gala so special. We are especially grateful for your commitment, for creating life-changing opportunities, and for believing in our mission.
