Statement from Lynsey Wood Jeffries, Higher Achievement CEO
As the White House takes action toward rescinding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and therefore closing doors of opportunity to hard working young people, we are committed to supporting our scholars and their families. At Higher Achievement, we know that hard work paired with opportunity can change the odds for our scholars and our country.
We stand with our scholars and their families.
We stand for their futures, and all of their infinite potential.
We stand against the rescinding of DACA.
I encourage all of our supporters: mentors, funders, partners, and families to take action to stand with our scholars and many others by:
- Calling your elected representative
- Accessing resources via Unidos US (formerly National Council of La Raza)
