National Summer Learning Day 2018

National Summer Learning Day, held on July 12, is a day that highlights the importance of learning and keeping kids safe during the summer months. Pittsburgh celebrated National Summer Learning Day by taking a bus tour of three out of school time programs. Higher Achievement was the first stop on the tour, and our scholars welcomed visitors in a spirited fashion. Guests were deemed honorary scholars for the day. Showcasing the importance of a fun, learning environment during the summer, the new scholars participated in math, English, and science classes.

The tour then continued on to Focus on Renewal, where we learned more about their Learn and Earn program. Guests then enjoyed several enrichment activities as we closed out the day at Pittsburgh King’s Summer Dreamers Academy.
