Higher Achievement is a holistic, college preparatory, expanded learning program for 5th—8th grade students from the Hill District, Homewood, and West End. Our mission is to close the opportunity gap during the pivotal middle school years. By leveraging the power of communities, Higher Achievement’s proven model provides a rigorous year-round learning environment, caring role models, and a culture of high expectations, resulting in college-bound scholars with the character, confidence, and skills to succeed.
As a Higher Achievement mentor, you will teach up to three Higher Achievement scholars at a time in technology exposure, career exploration, public speaking, or character development. YOU choose the subject. WE provide the curriculum, training, and support.
