Presently, Higher Achievement serves approximately one hundred motivated, energetic scholars in each of its five Achievement Centers. At this time, we need 425 Mentors ready to work with these terrific young people by September 22. That’s right- 425! We are looking to you as dedicated members of your communities, to reach out and help us in our efforts. Please consider signing up to be a Mentor, and please also forward this information along to any friends or relatives you have who might be interested.

The time commitment for Mentors is only two hours per week, from 6:00 to 8:15 p.m. You can choose between two content areas- Math and Literature- and also select the night on which you will attend- Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. You do not need to have any prior teaching experience to be a Mentor and the curriculum is pre-developed, and highly-structured. All we ask of you is your time and your energy. You will be a role model to your scholars, and you will play an important part in their lives as you develop relationships with them.
